What Simplifier does
Simplifier is a browser extension that reads the email thread you are currently viewing in Gmail or Outlook Web and renders a cleaner version of it in an overlay on the same page. The overlay is generated entirely on your device. No email content is ever transmitted to our servers, stored by us, or shared with any third party.
What we do see
To operate the paid service, we process the following limited information on our backend:
- Your email address, for sign-in through WorkOS AuthKit and to look up your subscription in Stripe.
- Your subscription status, as maintained by Stripe (our payment processor).
- Standard request metadata (IP address, user agent) in Cloudflare's logs for the duration of their retention policy, used for security and abuse prevention.
What we do NOT see
- Email content, subject lines, sender addresses, attachments, or any other data from your inbox.
- Which emails you simplify or how often.
- Any content from pages outside Gmail and Outlook Web.
Third parties
We use:
- Stripe for payment processing. Stripe sees your email and payment details per their privacy policy.
- WorkOS for hosted sign-in via AuthKit. WorkOS processes your email address and authentication events per their privacy policy.
- Cloudflare hosts our backend. Standard request logs are retained per their privacy policy.
Your rights
You can delete your account at any time by emailing privacy@emailsimplifier.app. Deletion removes your Stripe customer record and cancels any active subscription. EU users have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, and erasure.
